False Advertising from Outsurance
Having personally approached an Outsurance consultant at Es*** Terrace, Westville, a male, took my particulars and current house and car policies, made photo copies and assured me that he will come to my home, and assist me with filling in the necessary forms. About 4 hours later, he called me to inform me that Outsurance coverage will be R600 more per month, excluding a R40 000 motor cycle. I tried to get back to him to request the copies of my policy that he had on his possession. I am highly dissatisfied with the treatment of potential clients, unable to back up their false promises. Kathlego from Espresso is also falsely advertising on their behalf. I detest anything to do with Outsurance and one needs just to look at Hello Peter to gauge at all the unsatisfied people complaining about Outsurance, nor were we compensated for Outsurance not meeting the quote, as promised in the media.
Following your recent contact with us and complaint, we are very sorry that you feel your experience with our advisor was below par.
As our valued client, you are right to expect courteous, respectful, and professional service from us.
We earlier communicated that we escalated your complaint to our Telesales Manager in the Westville office to investigate and assist.
It has been confirmed that:
· When you came into our offices, our agent made a copy of your current policy docs for a like to like comparison · He did not take or keep your original documents · In line with POPI, all documents not used after any business interaction should be destroyed · As such we did not keep the copies we made of your documents and you did not ask for our agent to return any · Following a quote, our agent could not beat your premium even after applying maximum applicable discount · Our agent contacted you to advise of the premium, as you confirm, and he also requested for a meet to go over the premium and quote · You declined advising that we are expensive.
Given some of the concerns raised, it appears that you would like to know about the R400.00 promotion for us not being able to beat your current insurance premium.
We are genuinely prepared to pay you R400 cash if we are unable to beat your current car insurance premium when quoted on a like-for-like basis. This is subject to Terms and Conditions which help us better manage the process fairly. Please follow this link, for ease of reference, and click on Terms and Conditions https://www.outsurance.co.za/car-insurance/r400promo/. Our Face to Face agents do not qualify to participate in the promotion given their business processes and protocols. This means they could not have been able to offer you the R400.00 promotion.
So no Katlego is not falsely advertising and we do not make false promises. It would not be in the best interest of OUTsurance to falsely advertise or participate in any ********** business dealings as we are a regulated Financial Services Provider.
We don't always offer everybody savings however we do so for a substantial amount of clients. Sorry we could not offer you a saving at this point.
Regards
OUTsurance
