False Advertising and Shocking Quote

<p>At least three years ago, I contacted OUTsurance to see if they could beat or match my current car insurance. They could not, in fact, they were R400+ more expensive than what I was paying. They obligingly paid me the R400 due to me as per their offer. </p> <p> </p> <p>A few days ago, I called them again to see if they could - after 3 years - beat or match my premium. Again they could not, and again they were over R400 more expensive than what I am currently paying. I asked about the R400 cash back offer and their response was "sorry, you have already been paid out for that once before". I find their offer to be very misleading, and in theory, false advertising, as nowhere do they mention it is a "once in a lifetime deal". Times change, needs change, cars change, insurance changes. One thing that does not seem to change is that OUTsurance seems to be full of promises and silver linings that they don't deliver on. </p> <p> </p> <p>So, if you were hoping to beat or match your current insurance, don't bother, because you will probably get some garbled story about why they cannot pay you, even when their advert stipulates they will if they cannot beat or match your current insurance. This is not the only negative report I have encountered recently either.</p> <p> </p> <p>Sorry OUTsurance, you are continually too expensive for the average person, and don't keep your promises to "always get something out".</p>
