Extremely Strenuous Process to Claim for a Vet Visit

I am extremely unhappy with the claims process of the Pet Insurance from OUTsurance. Why on earth are they making the claims process so extremely difficult. The claims process takes weeks to complete as they require forms, and information, and information, and wait, more information - for a vet visit??? WHY??????? I will suggest that OUTsurance stop treating their clients like *********, stop bothering the Vets with information requests x ***0 up to a point where they are no longer going to accept any pet insurance from anyone, and just freaking process a vet visit claim. It is not difficult. I understand that you need special authorisation for illness or massive back operations, but this is a VET VISIT? When I moved from OnePlan to OUTsurance, it was never a requirement to complete a Pet Claims form for vet visits ("When we launched OUTsurance Pet, we excluded the need to fill in a physical form when claiming – all in an effort to keep things easy for you."). Now OUTsurance decided they want a Pet Claims form for vet visits, and they made it sound like it was the clients who requested it ("However, as it turns out, our valued clients and vet friends prefer this step, simply because it keeps all the necessary information on one document, resulting in less potential back and forth after a claim is submitted"). How did it lessen the burden of requesting more information, all the time. It is NOT easier... The process is strenuous, unnecessary and should be relooked at. Especially if it is looooooooong after the waiting period for claims. Technically I have a set amount for vet visits each year, and OUTsurance should stop asking questions if I want to use it, and YES, give up my OUTbonus. It is my right as an insurance payer.

Hello Yolandi O

We appreciate your feedback.

We contacted you and the discussion included an explanation of our processes and why we need claim forms to be completed.
We are sorry you did not receive regular updates on the claim, which has since been addressed. We are pleased to know the claim has in the interim been finalised.

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards
OUTsurance
