Extremelly frustrated and angry

My recent experience with outsurance negates all the previous good experience.

I recently had an accident, which was my fault and I bumped into a student, whose car was uninsured.

I have now been told that the claim from the 3rd party is not being handled as an insurance issue but a legal issue. I am being told by the lawyers, arguing with case history, why they do not want to pay out anything to the 3rd party claimant . This when they agree fully that I have comprehensive insurance that includes 3rd party insurance.

I am highly frustrated after 2 conversations and an email with these lawyers. Any help and advice on how to resolve this so that the person who I bumped into, who was not at all responsible for the accident, can get pay out to repair their car...

Dear Diane
We are sorry to read about the unfortunate incident. The matter was already escalated to our Liability Management team and Corrie has since been in contact. He discussed the details with regards to the apportionment and how this is app****. Your comprehensive insurance does include 3rd party insurance and will pay out what you are legally liable for.
If you require any further assistance you are welcome to contact Corrie directly.
