Explain please Outsurance !
My car was 'rear-ended' whilst stationary last week. Outsurance tell me that, should I proceed with a claim, I will have to pay my excess and I'll lose my OUTbonus even though the crash was in NO WAY my fault. Is this correct and legal to penalise a TOTALLY innocent party and a client for almost 30 years ??

06 Mar 2024, 17:56Good afternoon Mike,
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident. We hope that you are ok.
If you register a claim with us, you will unfortunately forfeit your OUTbonus and will have to pay an excess.
Your OUTbonus is a benefit offered for not claiming and your excess is the first amount payable on a claim.
You may proceed to claim directly from the third party if you want to save your OUTbonus. This is entirely your decision.
We value your loyalty all these years and are so sorry for the disappointment.
Our legal manager will call you to discuss the matter in more detail.

The OUTsurance Team

06 Mar 2024, 20:05OUTsurance, your response is more than dissapointing and shows a complete lack of empathy. I have been insured, in various countries, for 55 years and have NEVER heard of a company that PENALISE a client for being the innocent party. You expect ME to pay YOU R12,000 as compensation after being in a accident that I didn't cause ? Your main job, as my insurer, is to look after my welfare and ensure that whenever I need your assistance I can rely on your unwavering support!! All I witness here is OUTsurance doing the best it can for ITSELF. Almost 30 years of support and this is the way you TREAT me, I'm UTTERLY DISGUSTED !!!!! If you truly 'value my loyalty' I would appreciate you proving that statement !!
