Expensive rates for long standing clients!!!!!

I have been a client with OUTsurance for 10+ years, We moved house last year and I had to change home insurance. They quoted me R652 per month. Although I was not happy with this I accepted it. Last week I decided to get a competitive quote from Auto and General. For exactly the same cover on the house it was R203! Then I checked the 3 vehicles and the difference there was even more. In total my insurance was R3352 per month with OUTsurance - with Auto and General it is R1913 per month with even lower excess and car hire included. The worst is I sent the quote and requested them to look at my rates (I have been there 10 yrs +) but no response nor any action. Just sent me my current policy as-is back. So, warning to all you OUTsurance clients - do not think that because you have been with them a long time, they give you the best rates. Keep checking with other companies at least once a year.
