Excess Recovery

I was involved in a car accident in May, and it wasn't my fault. My car was written off and the claim was settled within a month. Now the problem is my R3600.00 excess which they needed to claim from the other parties insurer. All the paper work, including the accident report including the witnesses statement were sent to outsurance. <br> My problem is I always have to chase them to for this, I don't even get updates as to what's happening until I chase them.<br> 02 weeks back I was told that they waiting for the statement from the witnesses, even today I chased again and they still waiting. I mean 02 weeks really? How long does it take to get the statement and besides the guy did give them a statement before even the claim was paid out. I seriously don't get it and I wish they could just speed up the process and start chasing because they need to keep me updated as to how far they are and not the other way round. I am not happy at all.
