Excess payment

i have a claim with Outsurance , claim number *** where they expect me to pay the excess for a accident that was not my fault. a month ago i paid two excess payments and can not afford to pay another excess amount.

The guy Matthew Hendriks that crashed in to me jumped a red robot, almost hiting a motorcyclist and he could not provide me with a drivers license. He also gave my faulty personal information and i had to search for him. he practically thought he could get away as he did not have insurance forcing me to claim from my insurance. Seeing that he crashed into me while i was standing still at a Red Robot, i feel that he is responsible for paying my excess. i contacted Outsurance about this & was send from one person to another with no answer . i need to fetch my car as it is ready and i simply can not afford to pay the excess and i am under Debt review which also need to be paid on Friday.

We are not at all insensitive to the financial burden the excess payment has on you.

It is however our respectful submisson that an excess is the fist amount payable by the insured following each and every claim which is being settled. The excess is also not an optional payment based on the merits of each incident, but a set amount, agreed upon at inception as well as stipulated on the facility schedule.

Our legal department are in the process of recovering costs from the other. Once we succeeded, we will refund you your excess.
