Exceptional service from building claim

<p>I would like to commend Outsurance on the excellent service that I received on my building claim. In March 2016 our house was flooded with the heavy rains. Inadequate drainage in the street (responsibility of Joburg Road Agency) led to water building up outside our property. The water and mud made way its way into the house, flooded the lounge and ruined the carpets, flooded the pool with mud and clay, flooded the backyard, forced the garage doors open, and even flattened the boundary wall (about 30m). Words don’t do justice to the damage caused.</p> <p>Anton Erasmus was the project manager who was assigned to the claim. We had four contractors on our property doing various things on the house. All I had to do was call Anton and let him know about any challenges and he would get it resolved. This included, coordinating contractors, payments, escalations etc. He was professional. I can only imagine how stressed I would have been if I had to do the calling, coordinating, quotes etc. while at work and far from home.</p> <p>My pool was drained and repaired (60 000 litres). Outsurance reimbursed us for the carpets, the split floor cupboards were repaired, water marks painted, damaged garage doors repaired, boundary wall rebuilt and painted. We could not have prevented the flooding so at such a stressful time, I was glad to be insured with Outsurance.</p> <p>The contractors assigned to the work were diligent. We were a bit nervous at first with so many people we didn’t know who were in and out of the property for days without us being there. However, the teams showed integrity.</p> <p>My family and I have nothing but appreciation for the service we received. We would not have afforded to repair all that damage from a time, effort and cost side at what must have been a huge claim. Thank you Anton and Outsurance.</p> <p> </p>
