Dumbfounded

I am writing this message with a very heavy and overwhelmed heart. I feel completely let down, and at this point, I honestly don’t know where else to turn. Back in 2022, I reached out to OUTsurance because I wanted to do everything the right way. My car was going in for an engine overhaul, including the gearbox, and I made sure to inform your team so there wouldn’t be misunderstandings later. The only guidance I received was to update the vehicle’s address since it would be at the workshop. I trusted that advice. I trusted that it was enough. I trusted that I was protected. For years, I believed that by being honest, by paying my premiums, and by keeping your team informed, I was doing everything expected of me. Now, my vehicle is trapped in a situation that has turned my life upside down. I reached out to OUTsurance because I believed—truly believed—that the company I have been loyal to would help me, or at the very least guide me through what to do next. Instead, I was told that my situation falls under “exclusions.” Hearing that broke something in me. In all the conversations I’ve had with OUTsurance since 2022, not once did anyone warn me that I could be left completely unprotected. No one mentioned that the workshop needed to be approved, or that my car might not be covered while in their care. I was never given that chance to protect myself. Only now—when I am desperate, confused, and trying to hold myself together—am I being told that nothing can be done. It feels as though the moment I finally needed help… I was simply left alone. I understand that policies have terms. But I reached out in good faith and followed every instruction given to me. Had anyone at any point explained these exclusions, I would have made completely different decisions, and I wouldn’t be facing this heartbreak today. Right now, I feel abandoned by a company I trusted. After doing everything I believed was right, I am left feeling exposed, unprotected, and completely on my own. This message is not written in anger, but out of a very real sense of helplessness and disappointment. This is my last attempt to ask for compassion, clarity, and support from the company I thought would stand by me when it mattered most. I am begging OUTsurance to look at my situation with empathy and help me find a fair resolution. Please do not let me feel like I have nowhere left to turn after years of trust and loyalty. I truly hope someone will take the time to understand what I am going through and help me.
