DONT REFER FRIENDS OR FAMILY TO OUTSURANCE
I referred a family member on the Outsurance app on 23 May. The family member accepted the quote and I was supposed to receive a R1000 discount. My understanding was the first R1000 that was collected from the new policy, will be deducted from my premium. The first debit order did not go of my mother’s account. This was only discovered when I realized I did not receive the reduction as promised. My mother (73) phoned Outsurance to find out why the debit order was unsuccessful. She was told there was not enough money in her account. She drove to her nearest FNB branch and was informed there was enough money in the account. After numerous calls the account issue was resolved. A month later I phoned Outsurance to cancel one of the cellphones on my policy. A couple of weeks later I noticed the incorrect phone was removed (the cheaper one of the two). I phoned Outsurance to complain about the incorrect phone that was removed and requested a team leader to listen to the call when I requested the phone to be removed. The agents name was Bayanda. I also asked why I have not received my refund for the referral. I was phoned by a Team leader and told that I will receive the refund in September and she will get back to regarding the incorrect phone that was removed. This was about a month ago, I am still waiting for the call. On Friday(30 Aug) I received an SMS stating that my premium will be reduced by R460, not the R1000 as advertised by Outsurance. I have been a client with Outsurance for about 17 years, and touch wood, have not claimed once. If this is the way you treat your clients, why should we refer family and friends to be treated like ****? All your calls are recorded, so for once try and act like you care about your clients, listen to the calls and find out if it is lack of training that your agents don’t care, or is your incentive structure focused more on the amount of calls the agents take, rather than the quality of work?
Hello ibar
You mention 3 concerning issues which were immediately referred for assistance and clarity.
You have our apologies for the poor response and assistance you received after having notified us of the cause for your unhappiness and disappointment.
Our client care manager, Fairbridge has since contacted you.
He confirmed we would not outright reject a claim if your mother provided us with incorrect bank account details which resulted in non-payment of premiums. We will look into the matter and make the correct decision based on our findings.
We are pleased to know the correction of your OUT and About cover has been made, sadly, belatedly.
Fairbridge will provide you with final feedback on the referral discount today, as this needs to be corrected.
Thank you for accepting our apologies for our service which let you down, more than once.
Regards
Dinky
