Do not pay out for amounts insured

I am highly disgusted at our whole experience with claiming from Outsurance. We insured out phones for a certain amount (which Outsurance was happy to take the premium for)but now they are only paying out for the value of the phone. If that is the case then the premium should be only for the value of the phone??? The insurance company has more knowledge of the value of phones and should inform the clients accordingly? So this is to say that even though my insurance ring is insured for Rxx Outsurance will pay less than Rxx????? We left Auto and General for Outsurance because we thought they were better but it is so much worse. Auto and General atleast paid the amount the items were insured for.
