Do not give Outsurance your Bank details.
In December 2018 I reacted on a add en requested a quote for Car Insurance. I received a call back from an agent who did a very good job, but confirmed that my "cover will only start" once I take my vehicle for an inspection at Glass fit. When I received their e-mail quote decided not to take their cover as it was more than the current cover I had. Therefor I did not take my vehicle for the required inspection. But still Outsurance continued to deduct deduct two (2) premiums from my Bank account! Not that I have requested my Bank to challenge the debit order, Outsurance does not want to refund the premiums deducted. In my mind and in the words of their agent, I did not go for the inspection, therefore I take it that I did not agree to their cover and policy. I would dearly like to be refunded the premiums deduction without my consent.
Thank you for your feedback. Shaheed our client services manager has been unsuccessful in his attempts to call you. He has subsequently sent you a SMS and an email.
At sales stage we informed you that your cover is conditional upon the inspection of your vehicle. We did not state that we will only debit you once your vehicle has been inspected. You agreed to start cover as well as the collection date.
Please respond to Shaheed's email with a convenient time that he can call you to discuss the matter.
