Distressed third party

I had an accident with the client of Outsurance. Their client got out of her car and admitted liability. The towing guy phoned Outsurance, their client took the phone and outsurance agreed that both vehicles be towed away. When I contacted them to find out where my car is they advise that I get the vehicle out of storage. Outsurance agreed to pay for the towing and salvage provided I get my car out of the lot that day. They further advised all they would need from me is the proof of payment and invoice and I would be reimbursed. Outsurance has not reimbursed me or acknowledged the fact they admitted to reimburse me. This is distressing and put me hugely out pocket. After I was forced to pay and get the car out, then Outsurance refused to reimburse me. They say I am partly liable for the accident, how, if their client admitted liability. It is now 2 months of negotiations and no reasonable settlement. This is further distressing as I am highly inconvenienced.

How can a big corporation like Outsurance shove aside a third party claim and try to minimize the matter with as little settlement as possible? This feels very much like the big guy picking in the little guy scenario.

This matter has put me into a situation where I'm without a car and extremely inconvenienced.

Good day Mohammed,

Thank you for your feedback.

Further to our private response, we can confirm that Mmeli our legal manager contacted you.

Mmeli addressed your concerns and he discussed the merits of the claim in detail. Our settlement offer has been discussed with you.

We do apologise for the disappointing outcome of your 3rd party claim.

Regards,

Hi Outsurance

Mmeli did come back to me but not with a reasonable offer. What I was promised was barely considered (Outsurance would cover the towing cost at minimum).

It feels like I am being blamed for the accident. I took as much caution as I could to avoid the accident, therefore I needed a more favorable settlement.
