Disservice and Disgrunted

I am on the verge of changing my insurance and am only with them due to my wife’s car still under repairs since Feb 2022. We are now in May almost June and as much as they have renewed the car hire 3 times, what does that say or tell them about the service provider who is supposed to repair the vehicle. The claim escalated from R29k to R157k due to the Star Centre EL service provider adding unnecessary repairs to the original assessment. We are just tired of fighting and really want our car back as is.

The most funny thing is being stranded and paying for a car that you are not driving. Am not even sure if the financier has been flagged to atleast know that we have not had a car for 5 months now…what’s about insurance premiums that we have been paying when we don’t even have a car…they are aware but keep debiting? Is this even fair or a good practice to deduct premiums when u know the car is under repairs….since 19th Feb??

Hello Wongalethu

We are not at all insensitive to the inconvenience and frustration you are experiencing as a result of the delay in having the vehicle repaired.
As mentioned, we assisted with a rental vehicle, but have no control over the parts delay. Since the parts were shipped in from Europe, a further delay at the harbour was caused by the recent KZN floods.
Several attempts have been made to contact you, and our claims manager finally proceeded by sending you an email, stating the repairers are now expecting the delivery tomorrow,

We endeavour finalising your claim for you, but will ensure to keep you updated.

Regards
