Disgusting service

I have been with OUTsurance for more years than I can remember and I have always tld everybody that they are the best insurance ever, no problems with them whatsoever. However on 10th December my car broke down on the highway after hitting puddles due to heavy rains. I had no feedback from OUTsurance whatsoever except for an SMS with my claim number. My car was towed and an assessor was meant to be sent out, this never happened. I received a call on 19/12/2016 advising me that it will cost R4000+ to have my car repaired, I was happy with this until I received the assessors report only to see that the car had not even been touched, let alone assessed!!!!! (I did check all this with someone who knew that my car had not been seen by an OUTsurance person). Since then nothing has been done and after my car has been awaiting assessment for OVER A MONTH I receive a call from OUTsurance advising me that it is a write off and I will be paid out book value. 3 hours later I receive another call from OUTsurance telling me that they will tow my car back to my house as there is no claim. YET a proper assessor has not even assessed my car? And how do you make assumptions of water damage AFTER a car has been left for a month to dry out? I do not think anybody in this company communicates with anybody else as there are way too many confliciting stories. Does OUTsurance really think I am so stupid that I will not follow up on when and where the supposed so called assessor was and whether he did assess my car immediately after it was towed to the yard? Really bad service on so many levels!!!!!!!!!

We fully understand your dismay, Dawn. We are very sorry about the lack of proper feedback and further service issues you raised.

Our assessing manager, Charles contacted you and provided you with feedback on the assessment. The full detail of the latter will be sent to you via e-mail.

Regards

Dinky
