DISAPPOINTMENT

I do not understand why we pay insurance when insurance company services have an "expiry" timeline!!!

My geyser burst this morning, installed by Outsurance in November 2012 - I called Outsurance and I was told that the claim expires within 4 hours once logged!!!! why is this so? I am not home and cannot get home now....i can only be at home around 17h00; time when the Outsurance cannot send anyone to my home!!

quite frustrating!! now all the monies paid to *********** insurance companies go to waste - not sure why we pay?

truly disappointed at the service i receive from Outsurance!!!!

Hi Sun68,
Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention. Shelton our claims manager contacted you to discuss the findings in the call. Nowhere did we state the claim would expire. The claim was registered and it was identified that the geyser was not burst but the thermostat and element were leaking. The damage was less than the excess amount. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Regards, Kelvin
