Disappointing service with only Aftermarket Windscreens offered

Had a stone chip the other day and and now I need to replace my windscreen due to a crack. Lodged my claim through the app and was contacted by Myglass. I then specifically asked for an OEM windscreen as I am paying a a high premium on my car and have never claimed in 3 years. I also do not want any issues with the windscreen such as wind noise or warping which I experienced on previous windscreens. Myglass told me contact outsurance. Spoke to Lillian from claims and she was adamant that they will only use a generic windscreen. I refuse to accept this and told her I will cancel my insurance if this is how they are going to resolve the matter. She did not care about this and still was adamant about giving the generic windcreen. If this is how they treat their loyal clients I definitely would not want to business with them in future and will be telling my friends and family to cancel their contracts with Outsurance due to this. Other insurances offer you the option of OEM or aftermarket windscreens but Outsurance does not

Good day Mohamed,

Thank you for your review.

Further to our private response, we can confirm that our claims manager, Letso, has been in contact with you to address your concerns. Letso discussed the difference between OEM and Equivalent Replacement glass. We can confirm that OEM glass was approved.

Regards,
The OUTsurance Team
