DISAPPOINTED IN OUTSURANCE
Extremely disappointed with Outsurance. Car was insured two years ago. No mention made of any exclusions, or any exclusions mentioned on policy. Had a bumper bashing a week ago on Monday. On tuesday, the consultant called me once and send me an email that she received the damage report mid day and asked me to call her back. I send her an email to say that I will call her back. as soon as I can. After 3 hours I received an email telling me that my claim was withdrawn because she tried to get hold of me numerous times and did not get a response. after I got the claim open again, they informed me that they will not replace the nudgebar, which apparently is not standard on the car. Which I was not aware of as it was already fitted when I bought it. When I insured the car it was also not mentioned that it will be excluded from any claim nor is it on my policy. I bought the card second hand and insured it as is. Car was inspected at the licensing center. Again, no mention of any exclusions. When I received the damage report it showed repairs to be done where there is no damage, and off course the refusal to replace the nudgebar. Apparently according to another consultant, the damage report was done on the photo's I sent. When I questioned it, I was told that they will strip the car at the panel beater to assess the damage. It's been a week no and nothing has been resolved. The card is not even at the panelbeater yet. No solution was offered either. OUT was more expensive than the other offers I got but I chose to pay more for the supposed good service. Which I no regret.
I would understand if it was brought under me attention when I insured my car, so that I could have made other arrangement or insured it separately.
Please sort out this mess.
Please resolve this matter as soon as possible.
I am not an unreasonable person, but if I knew I would have made the appropriate arrangement.
But I truly was not aware that the nudgebar is not covered.
Which brings to my attention that the towbar might also not be insured, which concerns me.
I see that they want to repair and spray the bumper etc, as far as I know it is only the nudgebar and the radiator that was damaged.
I just want my car back as is.
Kind regards

Thank you for your further feedback.
After responding privately to your review, we escalated the matter to Ntlhari our claims manager. Ntlhari contacted you to address your concerns. We listened to the call recording, and we can confirm that we did ask you if there were any accessories that you would like to specify and you answered no. Ntlhari advised you that we are willing to assist you with the claim and that we would need to collect back dated premium however you declined the offer.
We do apologise for your experience.

First of all, i have never skopen to Ntlhari.
No idea who that is.
Second of all, as i explained to Maggie, how the hell am i suppose to know what is an extra on my car. I bought a car as is and insured it. On the invoice there was nothing mentioned except licensing fees ets. Again how the hell am i supose to know what is standard on the car and what is not.
3rd, i provided photos of the car when i insured it.
So any consultant could see that there was a nudgebar on the car. Why did they not bring it under my attention???
It is just about sales to make money
To be honest, you people are just looking for reasons not to pay the damage.
I have in almost 8 years never claimed from you, except for 2 Free (towing services).
You have added **** on the damage report, that was done on photos, that is not even damaged.
And you want poeple to trust you on the silly ads you do??
Fix my car the way i insured it.
I will not pay more because you people *****ed up.
Believe me, i will not leave this be.

Correction to our response. We escalated the matter to Ntlhari, Maggie's manager. Maggie provided you with the feedback.
The onus is on the client to advise the insurer what accessories they would like to specify. There is additional premium that is charged for accessories. We advised you that we would assist in covering the accessories however we need to collect the back dated premium. You declined the offer.
