did not pay
Been with them for 7 odd years now. i currently pay R2162 a month for insurance.
The tv,s power supply failed due to a power surge there contractors collected the unit and tested it. Outsurance said it would cost R900 to repair and that i should pay as that a power surge damaging the unit is normal wear and tear and they wont pay so why am i paying 2k a month to still pay extra money to repair insured items? so after currently paying R50k plus since i have been with them they wont pay R900 for my insured item

Wesley our claims advisor contacted you to inform you that the claim was withdrawn because the claim amount was within excess. Your excess is R3520 and the damage is R1513. If the claim is within the excess the client will be liable for the cost. If the claim is higher than the excess the client will pay the excess and the insurer will pay the difference.
