Deeply disappointed and frustrated with building claim from Outsurance that gets nowhere for 2 weeks
During heavy rainfall due to Hurricane Eloise, I experienced some damage on my house. I submitted a claim to Outsurance over 2 weeks ago, and just over a week ago Friday 05 February, the service provider came to assess the damage and submitted the quote to Outsurance. After numerous (and I mean ALLOT) of phone calls to Outsurance, till today I have not had any feedback. The latest was that a Carl Fourie did not yet attend to the claim, however when I tried to phone him on the number that Outsurance gave me, I get nowhere. And today it rained heavily again, just adding to the damage, cleaning and frustration. I have contacted the service provider, they confit=rmed they have submitted the quote and have also not heard from Outsurance. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Outsurance as this is a building claim and nothing has happened over 2 weeks, and every time it rains I feel the pain due to Outsurance's incompetence.
The lack of feedback is not on! We are very sorry about the additional stress this added.
Our assessing manager contacted you with proper feedback after having received an update from the service provider. He discussed their findings regarding the maintenance of roof required and forwarded their report to you.
An assessor has now been appointed and arrangements we made with a contractor now confirmed with you.
We will ensure you are kept up to date until the claim had been finalised.
