Courtesy car deposit amount not stipulated in the contract

On Saturday i was involved in an accident that was not my fault, however i had to claim because as much as the person agreed to being at fault, he doesnt have insurance. Today (Monday), my case is assigned to a gentleman and i ask for a courtesy vehicle while they fix my car. I am told that i need to pay R2000 holding fee in which this amount is not stipulated on the contract. Apparently, the contract between outsurance and avis state that this amount should be paid by the client. However, the contract between the client and outsurance does not mention this amount in the contract. I am faced with a dilemma of having to pay 6000 rand access (which i am aware of and it is on the contract) and pat R2000 holding fee. I am highly disappointed as i didnt mind paying these high premiums because i thought when claiming it will be hassle free but here we are

I was on the line with someone from outsurance and they admitted that the amount is NOT stipulated. I went through the contract when i took the insurance. The R2000 is not there

Good afternoon Khanyisa,

Further to our previous responses we can confirm that our claims manager Lynnette contacted you to adress your concerns.

As per the policy Ts and Cs, you will need to pay for the fuel and security deposit, running costs as well as the collection and delivery fees. The amount won't be noted in your policy schedule as this amount fluctuates.

Lynnette has however made alternative arrangements with the service provider, to assist you. She has also confirmed that the service provider appointed is Cherry approved.

Regards,
The OUTsurance Team

In future do inform clients that there is this amount and currently its R2000 but it fluctuates. Atleast when we are saving the access money, we are aware that there is an additional amount of such magnitude. Now i am involved in an accident and i have to have extra money, its not the peace of mind i was hoping for when taking out an insurance. I read policy documents so that i dont get a surprise when im in need but now here i am.

I have just called outsurance regarding this msg and i am informed that i should take the 2000 from the 5900 access than when avis gives it back (which is in 7days or so) i go and release my car. My question is, what am i using to get to and from work in that 7days while waiting for AVIS? I sent an email and im yet to receive a response
