Complaint about outsurance
Outsurance first promise to fix my car door which was damaged and the pannelbeaters asked R37,000 and I only have to pay R5000 excess. Now they changed their story and only give me R12,600. Where can I fix my car for that price?

28 Aug 2024, 10:26Good day Hendrina,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look into the matter and provide you with feedback.
Our claims manager, Ntlhari, advised your son in-law that the reason for the difference between the quotes, is due to your service provider quoting on OEM parts. We quoted using alternative parts as the vehicle is out of the factory warranty period. The Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance has granted approval for all insurers to use alternative parts for vehicles out of their factory warranty period. We have managed to source alternative parts and have provided your son in-law with the detail.
We do apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
Regards,
The OUTsurance Team
