Claim rejected unfairly

Outsurnace client bumped the car I was driving on the driver's door while she was reversing out of the parking lot and she apologised and said she didn't look she was busy on the phone and she said we will talk when she is back as she is in hurry to go somewhere. When she got back we went to write our statements and then she gave me the claim number and told me not to contact her but to deal with the insurance directly. The accident happened on the 30th September 2016 and months later the claim is rejected and I don't understand the basis of the claim being rejected and another thing I gave contact numbers for 2 witnesses and only one witness was contacted I was told the other one is not reachable while the witness said no one called him.

Claim no: ********** 96

Hi nmhlaba,

Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention. Elizna our legal manager contacted you to discuss the merits of the claim. She discussed an amicable settlement and the offer has been sent to you.

Regards, Kelvin

Good day Kelvin

I would like to thank Elzina for quick response and her explanation of the merits of the claim. I have received the offer for the settlement however I'm not sure how amicable it is as its half of the money required to fix the dent in order for the car to be in the same state it was before the accident and as I have agreed with her I will pay to fix the scratch at the back. I would appreciate if she can call me again and explain how was the offer determined against the quatation also taking into consideration that the quote is about 7 months old prices might have gone up, as its stands the offer is about 50% of the funds required to fix the front door.

It is so difficult to get hold of the person handling this case, a call back will be appreciated as I really want to finalise this so that I can put this traumatic experience behind me.
