Claim Rejected
Since late last year I've been dealing with outsurance refusing to replace my furniture that was damaged by rain. I have taken out home and contents insurance with outsurance. Upon my claim I was told to make a quotation for the furniture that was damaged and send it through. I was instructed that I have to discard the damaged furniture after the insurance assessors came to assess. I was then told that the quotation is too expensive and they won't replace the goods with that amount. I've been contacting outsurance to this day and no-one is helping me out. I had to even cancel my cover since I was not getting the service I needed but still my money is been deducted every month from my account and I have to reverse the debit order everytime. I've been in contact with client service and the supervisor of the person dealing with my claim with no avail. I even had to find a lawyer to help me out with this matter, however still he's been given the run around too. What does it take for a person to get what they pay for on a monthly basis. I always thought we insure our things for their value not for what the insurance thinks they must be worth.
