Claim

On the 12 April 2019 an OUTsurance client drove in front and hit the left side of my car. She acknowledge her mistake and apologize, she said her insurance will fix my car. I called the police and she called her insurance at the spot, we exchange information, claim number everything was good. Her insurance email all the documents I need to complete for the claim which I did and sent it back the next day. A consultant was assigned to the case called Joe, he arrange for my car to be tow for assessment and joe was keeping me updated, everything was near to completed and one day I did not hear from joe I call OUTsurance to speak to Joe and they said to me Joe has resigned and the case has been reassigned to someone else that I should call the next day to find out who. The next day I call OUTsurance and I was told Anastasia will take over the claim. Anastasia said she have to start the process again that I should give her a week and the claim will be finalize and she told me the repair amount and she will arrange for my car to be return back to me. I waited for another week and some days for her no calls from her. I call OUTsurance again I was told that she is no longer on the case that someone will take over. One day a guy called me to say he is in charge of my claim. He name is Tshepo. He said to me that he will have to go over the case again to have authorization with the management and I should give him some days to work on it. About a week later he called me saying that the Insurance is willing to settle my claim that both Party’s are held reliable 60/40 settlement. I told Tshepo that the your client is at fault and would take full responsibility to fix my car and he becomes very rude on the phone. And ask him how did they come to this conclusion of you a 60/40. He can’t explain to me. I am on my lane driving under the speed limit and a car drive in front of me and hit me, How is that my fault? It’s been days, weeks and month Outsurance has been pushing me left, right and center because they don’t want to take full responsibility and settle my claim. Weeks now and I don’t have a car for an insurance company to act like this is very bad.

Hello Enow23

We cannot blame you for expressing your dismay at all.
It is most unfortunate that your 3rd party claim was assigned to more than 1 person, which resulted in a lack of proper and prompt feedback to you.

Our liability claims manager contacted you and the merits were discussed in detail. He explained why we need to apply the apportionment.
Lebo discussed our revised settlement offer and will finalise the claim as soon as possible.

Regards
OUTsurance
