Cheap advertising hidden costs.
Shocking!. Hidden costs and unilateral changes to policy you only discover when you submit a claim after 17 YEARS of being a client. Two agents profusely apologise for not informing me? That is Outsurance's tactics, cheap advertising, hit you with hidden costs when you claim.

Thank you for your feedback.
We understand that the increase in your excess amount is disappointing.
The excess changes were an industry decision, due to the increase in power surge and dip claims over the last 3 years.
OUTsurance did not want to implement cover limitations or increased premiums for this benefit hence we decided to implement a standardised excess with regards to power surge and lightning claims.
This means that irrespective of the value of the claim the excess will remain a fixed amount.
It's sad to see that you chose to cancel your policy and are sorry that the excess change led to this.
