Cancellation of Insurance policy

I wish to get clarification on whether it can be possible for an insurance company to say they cancelled a policy of their client even if there is evidence that the client had in fact cancelled the policy prior to the insurance company purporting to do so in the near future.

Good day, My claim ********** 77 has been rejected. Im yet to receive written reasons from Deon. However from the telephone conversation with him he told me of the following : That i failed to disclose previous policy cancellation(s). I wish to point out that until today NO insurance company has cancelled my policy. The issue that I had with my previous insurance Mutual and Federal regarding their intention to cancell my policy was subsequently cleared after they accepted that indeed the policy was cancelled by me and not them. I have a letter from them confirming what im saying. Secondly, following the incorrect decision by Mutual and Federal, my next insurance, Discovery Insure re**** on the M&F invalid decision to render the policy that I had with them Void. Their choice of words was clear and unambiguous. There is no where in their letter where they use the term cancellation. As a Lawyer myself, i understand the two concepts to be distinctly different. For that reason i could not have been expected to my policy with Discovery was cancelled by Discovery Insure when in fact in was rendered Void. The question that i was asked was whether have i ever had my Policy cancelled, to which i honestly answered NO. Thirdly, It is also with regret that Outsurance alleges that i drove the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Sadly they do not give me evidence or proof to that effect. They asked for my bank details to check if any purchases were made or withdrawals for alcohol purchase. Despite my explanations, they continue making these spurious allegations. I am now at a point where I will have no other choice but to take legal option in order to seek justice.
