TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!
I have cancelled my policy with you guys on the 2nd of January 2018 due to the fact that you rates have become way to expensive.
One of you consultants tried to adjust my premium to convince me to stay with OUTSurance(this was also on the 2nd of January 2018).
On the 3rd of January 2018 an amount R1148.74 was going to deducted from my banking account(I ensured that there is no available funds), as no indication was given or in actual fact there should have not been any reason for this amount to be deducted as my regular deduction was deducted as per normal at the end of December 2017 for the month of January 2018.
I then proceeded to call you guys again after this deduction on the 4th of January 2018. Upon this conversation the consultant apologised and assured me that all debit orders have been cancelled. I was then advised by the consultant that my banking charges would be refunded back to me as this was an issue on the OUTSurance side and that no debit orders should be going through. I received no feedback further on this matter.
Since then I have however been receiving SMS’s and emails that the above mentioned amount will be deducted again as it did not go through. I proceeded to contact OUTSurance again on the 8th of January 2018. I proceeded to communicate with Andre Middleton, he assured me that he would get back to me on the same day and give me feedback as to what is happening on my account and why there are debit orders trying to be deducted as my account is up to date. Today is the 9th of January and I have had no feedback relating to this matter.
So up to this day which is the 9th of January I have enjoyed no feedback from OUTSurance. This is quite appalling and fully justifies my decision to move away from you guys. I am however not willing to pay any further amounts as my debit order for January was deducted in December 2017. Therefore I do not see the need for any further deductions. However, due to negligence from the side of OUTSurance I was penalised an amount of R150 for the debit order that did not go through on the 3rd of January. Between my phone calls, the time spent on these phone calls and my debit orders failing I have spent quite a couple of Rand’s to get my policy cancelled.
Can I please enjoy feedback from a reliable source that will be able to complete my cancellation process and ensure that no further debit orders are deducted and that I do receive my R150 back due to the fact that I was penalised for you guys trying to take unnecessary debit orders.
Thanks you.
