Bunch of ******s on par with any ********

I had the misfortune of having a VERY bad experience with this company after being a non claiming customer of theirs for 14 years. After a loadshedding "popped" a few of my appliances. I use the word "popped" because I heard a sound like that coming from the kitchen when the power was returned. It was only the next day after getting home from work that I realized how many of my appliances had been affected. Decided to phone my insurance company to lodge a claim. BIG MISTAKE!

My first shock was the exorbitant excess that was attached to my ***,00 as an excess seemed a bit overboard to me. After confirming the excess many of my friends and family have on their policies, I discovered that my excess is over 3 times more than anyone else. Needless to say, this already left a bitter taste in my mouth. Still I had to replace my appliances so decided to proceed with my claim.

2 and a half weeks later, I was told that all my appliances have stopped working due to "wear and tear" I mean, my appliances my have been a bit on the old side, but they worked 100% fine before this incident. Also, very strange that the "wear and tear" of all the appliances somehow co-ordinated their breakdowns on the same day. Typical of an insurance company to skirt their responsibilities to pay their customers.

Don't use this **** company. They will rob you of all your money

I am now in the process of cancelling my policy with them and finding someone else
