Beware- Outsurance fits generic windscreens and not originals

Before one is enthralled by the extensive marketing campaigns by Outsurance, be aware of their underhanded tactics.

A windscreen replacement claim was lodged for my two year old vehicle, under warranty. PG Glass mobile attended my premises, after several calls and change of appointment times on their end.

The glass that was to be replaced was a generic and not an original Suzuki windscreen despite the fact that I had to pay an excess to Outsurance!

I was called by PG Glass the next day and advised that only after my rejection of the generic windscreen, did Outsurance approve that the original be fitted and I would have to wait 5 working days for the original to be ordered.

Upon lodging a complaint with Outsurance, it was only now that I am asked whether the vehicle is under warranty. In essence, the company was knowingly fitting a generic windscreen and would have proceeded until I stopped the fitment.

Needless to say, had a generic windscreen been fitted my vehicle warranty would have fallen away.

Think twice before using Outsurance, they most certainly have ********** practices.
