Best in SA my **s
How can Outsurance be the best in SA. My boyfriend had a accident on the 13 April 2022, driving back from Hatfield on the N1. The person driving in front of him stop dead on a highway to go into the next line so my boyfriend driving the highway speed of 120km/h had to try and avoid the car trying to move into the next line. an-fortunately my boyfriend could not avoid the car and he went in to the back of that person car. With my car in the middle of the highway that person that needed to stop dead to go into the next line went to the side of the road and thinking that the person would want all the information for the accident clearly did not want to get involved with giving his/her information so that person just drove off leaving my boyfriend in the middle of the highway and the car completely not derivable. So with the accident I contacted Outsurance to submit my claim, going to the Police Station to open a case of the accident doing everything on my side.
Outsurance did not keep me updated with my claim or to what is happening with the fact that this was a hit and run. I had to call and email them to find out what is going on with my claim and if the Legal department did get my claim. Calling the whole week and still no feedback I called on Friday to find out what is happening with my claim has it been sent to the Legal Department The person I spoke to was so rude, unfriendly. And clearly had a dont give a **** attitude with me regarding my claim or what is happening with the Legal Department. Talking to one consultant to the next everyone I spoke to clearly did not know what they are doing. Finally spoke to someone that did know there job told me that there was a error with my claim and it was not submitted at all. NO COMMUNICATION regarding the error or that no one from the Legal Department would have called me regarding my claim. Finally got a call from the Legal Department the lady said she and the Legal Department can not help me with my claim because it was said my boyfriend hit the back of the car and it his fault. Yes, a back smash it seen as your fault, but this person did not give any of his information to us he/she drove away. A hit and run, known in law as 'Failure to stop or report an accident', is a ******** offence in any case where injury or damage has been caused. The driver is required to stop at the scene and provide their name and address and that of the owner of the vehicle. So the lady on the phone said my boyfriend was not driving the speed limit, he did not have a safe following distance and he was not observing his surroundings. That is why they will not help me so they do not know the law at all as well.
I am truly disappointed in Outsurance and there service and after my car is fixed I will be moving to a new insurance.
