Bad Service

On the 2nd of March my vechile was ****** during the early hours of the morning. I then contacted my tracking company as well as my insurance (Outsurance) to let them know what had happended. My vechile was not recovered at the time and outsurance paid the bank the value of my vechile two weeks later not even giving the opportunity for my vehcile to be found( I have heard that the insurance usally takes two to three months to pay out). My vechile was then found in centurion and i was asked to go to the pound in Pretoria west to make sure this was my vehcile which was a total waste of time as the insurance apparently already owned it. I was then told to meet up with someone to take my spare key and everytime we had an arrangement he coudnt make it, I still have the spare key. Outsurance would not let me buy my vechile back or even cover me for the R35000.00 deposit i put down on the vechile in the begining. I now still owe the bank for the next two to three months and feel that outsurance could have paid out more or allowed me to purchase my vechile back. Everytime i speak to someone in the claims department there is always an excuse. i defaintly will not use outsurance again on my next vechile and i will defiantly not recommend it to anyone.

Hi Tayla,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. OUTsurance was quick regarding the claim settlement but agreed we should have contacted you to let you know that we paying the bank. Our assessing department is currently arranging that you get your car back. They will want to assess the vehicle to ensure it is drivable etc. The claims department will be in contact with you.

Regards, Kelvin
