Bad service

I am struggling to get Oursurance to settle the claim iro damages to my roof tiles at my house, which I logged in early Jan. An assessor was sent through on the 13th Jan and I had to follow up on teh 24th of Jan for feedback. The response was that there rotten timber which needed to be replaced. When I queried this, as the assessor did an assessment from the ground and did not even go up on the roof, I was told a second assessor would be sent. This was incorrect information sent to me,as the same assessor was sent out. This assessor stood by his assessment of rotten timber but sent through photos of a house similar in colouring to my house but was not my house. So after two assessments he sends pics of the wrong house and I can confirm that he was twice at my house. It was a very bad photo and that looked similar to my house and I had to sent my owen photos to disprove the allegations of rotten timber. Funny enough did not have down pipes which confirms that it was a fruadluent submission. Outsurance then continued to bully me to accept a low settlement , due to alleged rotten timber. I then logged a complaint and Outsurance sent through their in house assessor. He confirmed that the photos were of the wrong house, did a through assessment, where he pointed out water damage as well. To date I have not have had sight of this report. Outsurance called again and tried once again to get me to accept the original assessment (where the asssesor failed to do a proper assessment and also makes not mention of water damage. I pointed out that if I accept their offer without proper quotes for the water damage , I will in all likelihood be personally liable., as tehir offer was in full and final settlement. I obtained an additional quote which almost doubled the cost, which outsurance now wants me to pay for more call out costs and get more quotes, which are non refundable to me. They are low balling me iro the proposed pay out, have not acknowldged the seriousness of their assessor submitting photos alleging rotten tibmer where I have to point out and prove that this was not my house, are ignoring the water damage and would have not mentioned it to me. It was only becasue the in house assessor mentioned it that I asked for a quote for this. The entire way that this has been handled is shocking and I am in the position where I need to mitigate the damages and repair at my own costs to prevent further damages. The incliment weather is a risk. Their managemnet team ignores customers who lodge complaints and the claims handler ignores emails. They claim to have a low number of valid compliants with teh Ombudsmans. Could it be that you are bullyimg customers to accept low settlements offers. This is certainly not acceptable and I will lodge a complaint with the Financial Servcies Board. Beware of accepting an assessmnet where a through check has not been made, You are accepting any offer in full and final settlemnet. This makes me question where Outsurance is colluding to low ball clients with poor offers.

Hi Preashini,
Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention. Mbongeni contacted you to get the claim finalized. You confirmed that our assessor did a good job but Imbazo Trading dropped the ball. He did apologize for their workmanship and discussed settlement with you , for which you were happy. We do apologize for the bad service from our provider and this will be taken up with them.
Regards, Kelvin
