Bad Service

Twice in one year I had issues with claims. Earlier in the year I had to claim my windscreen for my vehicle and the consultant advised me that it will affect my outbonus. Not once was I notified of this when I first joined or when I added my second vehicle on the policy. They listened to the voice recording and confirmed that the consultant did not advise me of this and that they can't do anything about it. Second claim was for a leaking roof of my house claim number ********** 75. Guy came out to the house and took pictures of the ceiling ond outside roof. In the pictures you can cleary see the maintenance that was done earlier in the year. No Outsourance is saying no maintenance was done on the roof and they will only fix the ceiling. My question was should it start to rain again the ceiling will be damaged again what then? Answer: We would then refer it to management. Their one radio advert states that they are not looking for excuses to pay out claims, this is excactly what they have been giving me and this is probaly the excuse to all customers that they did not do maintenance on their roof. Then you should request photo's from the customer before they join you. I had to wait more than a week before they even came back to me saing if they approved the claim or not. I have in the meantime got a contractor to fix the roof within a week. I do not know why I'm paying building insurance if they are not willing to cover a claim againt a building.

Thank you for your feedback.

You raise 2 concerns which we know left you disappointed.

The OUTbonus will always be affected by any claim we pay in favour of a client. The only instances which will not have an impact, is when you need emergency roadside or home assistance, which are bonus benefits we offer our clients when vehicle and home insurance are selected.

Our claims manager, Shelton contacted you and discussed the outcome of your current building claim. He explained the roof damage claimed for is indeed maintenance related which is unfortunately an exclusion from cover.

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss the matter in further detail.

Regards
