Bad experience

I took out a building insurance with them telephonically and they agreed to all that I gave them. They did not come to check if what they were insuring was insurable (the lapa in this case). Come the time to claim, they said the lapa was old in the first place. How was I to know if the lapa was old? It collapsed after heavy rains.
