Axcess Recovery Nightmare
November 2023 My vehicle was involved in a accidents caused by a driver under the influence of alcohol,driving a in roadworthy vehicle without a drivers licence. The axcess on my claim was R7500 which I had to pay before they start repairing my vehicle. Today I was informed that I will only get R900 back from my axcess. On questioning that I was informed that the other party is having financial difficulties and he only paid R900 once as he agreed to pay monthly and now he is avoiding calls from outsurance. Should I wish to get my money back I should take him to small claims court. This is ridiculous...this is a lot of money to loose just like this. How can it just be acceptable to say he only paid once and now he is running away after having an arrangement to pay monthly?
