Abuse of traumatizing situation

I had an accident May 2017 - the experience was traumatic - I couldn't think straight and was susceptible to accusations. All I could think about was what the impact was going to be to my current situation. Not only was the driver of the other car abusive and threatening to physically assault me -then, a few days later, his insurance company (Outsurance) contacted me telephonically accusing me of culpability and that I needed to pay the damages of R 25 000 immediately as I had assumed liability (it was pointed out to me that I had gone over a stop street).

In retrospect after thinking about the incident weeks later, I thought about the whole situation: 1. I thought about what the kind lady had told me that lived close to the intersection in question - she told me that they had had many accidents there because the stop sign was not clearly visible (being in a dip) and there was no signage on the road. 2. My Mercedes 1988 model was written off as he collided with my front right hand side - in my humble opinion he must have been driving at a high speed in a residential area as he also could not stop in time and his car was not in sight when I approached the intersection. They omitted to investigate this and were quick to point out that I was the guilty party as I had gone over the stop street. 3. Then when I told Outsurance that I couldn't pay then because of my financial situation (being unemployed since mid February 2017 and without transport) they wanted me to sign a form that I owed them R 47 909.00 instead of the apparent R 25 000.00 in damages. Clearly the situation was manipulated and abused to cover the expenses for Outsurance. Where is my compensation for the trauma, victimization and my car that was written off.
