A Word of Warning

A word of warning to current and potential Clients. If you are as unfortunate as I am, you will experience the following: - An Assessor who does not respond to calls or emails - An appointed Service Provider that does not honour appointments - An appointed Service Provider who notes there a nail is missing where there is/was no nails at any time in the roof (not that it should have been there, it never was and had no need to be) - Your and your fully registered Contractor/Builder/Service Provider's definition of waterproofing differs to theirs - A member of the Management team who is an expert in roofing, all matters relating to deterioration over time, building/contractor work; and judge and jury of another service provider that will tell you that your service provider has no idea what they're doing (to that effect) - Documented evidence provided that is not a consideration - A member of the Management team who is an expert in the weather - Retentions that does not call you back with feedback or information, or forward email information that was promised

So remember the following: - Please tell Mother Nature that when she sends hail to your area, to damage the entire roof and not just two random places that are about 30m apart. Remember, you being there to witness the storm and hail is not sufficient, only two areas of damage is not considered enough hail damage. The entire roof and your entire area needs to have their roofs' damaged in totality - The Management team knows better than your Builder/Contractor and can tell what they saw and actions taken about 8 months ago - Be prepared to wait about 10 days, make multiple phone calls and emails without response - They are experts in everything, regardless of the people that did the work and at the time when work was done - Your evidence means nothing

Above all, I am being made to feel like a naughty school kid being made to sit in the corner as punishment. The Insurer is not fulfilling their value by restoring me in the position I was in prior to the incident. I have learnt my lesson - I will not tolerate such an experience and have began moving to an Insurer that wants my money, doesn't know better than the people that were physically on site, fulfils their value to me and treats me as a human.

Thank you for raising your concerns with us.

We will always ensure we do the right thing and after reading your complaint we escalated the matter to our assessing manager Zandi.

Zandi contacted you to address your concerns regarding the assessment and your overall claims experience. Zandi went through the assessment in detail with you and she advised you that we have appointed another service provider for a 2nd opinion.
