A lifted iPad and a helpful insurance company

<p>Before starting, I have to declare a conflict of interest as I work at Outsurance, however this is my first claims experience. </p> <p> </p> <p>Last night we realised that my iPad and just my iPad was lifted from our house in our security estate. After a long day I wanted my iPad to read myself a little bedtime story to sleep after a stressful day. My wife and I turned the house upside down before realising that some enterprising individual had, with the greatest of ease, entered our home, picked up the iPad off the bed and walked out the bedroom door into the garden never to be seen again. I sincerely hope whoever they are that they like reading Terry Pratchett, that is all that there is on there. </p> <p> </p> <p>Phoning OUTsurance was actually a pleasure. Gerard Jordaan took down my details and to be fair, asked some pretty searching questions, and then in less than an hour phoned me to tell me that it had been arranged and that they are replacing it like for like, just like that. The quick turnaround and no paperwork just helped me get on with my day that much quicker and to put this behind me. </p> <p> </p> <p>Also, and as an aside, the Police were excellent too. In the same day we had a case number, the detectives came around and the fingerprint were on their way at the time of writing. </p> <p> </p> <p>Thanks Gerard for all your help. </p>
