I asked for a quote from Outsurance for additional life cover and the first question asked is whether I was a miss or mrs. I asked why it mattered. The response was that it mattered if I was married, as it affected the quote I received. I asked that if I was a man, would the same apply. He answered that with men they only ask if they are a mr, dr or prof. It didn't matter if they were married or not. This is blatant prejudice against all women, particularly those that are Dr's and Professor's. I will not be moving my life insurance to them. By the way Outsurance, I pay R9000 / month currently towards life insurance to cover all aspects of my family and life when I'm gone. This business will be staying exactly where it is. At least your opposition doesn't care if I'm married or not.
