7th day no hot water in the middle of winter...Outsurance ************** and victimization of women

It's so easy to rip of female clients isn't it? Pathetic service, seemingly drunk contractors, 7th day no hot water and insurance wanting to charge me 2 excesses due to the incompetence not only of the plumbers initially employed but also in the claims department. So Monday a week ago I woke up and had no hot water. My claim: NO HOT WATER! When the plumbers arrived on the scene, one of the two guys smelled so much of booze, my house started to smell like an alcohol brewery. Despite me showing them the bathroom (which turned out held the key to issue all along with a leaking pipe) where one could hear water running despite all taps being closed, they ignored this and failed to diagnose the root cause. Probably looking for an easy fix, they diagnosed the geyser leaks and needs to be replaced. I was flabbergasted but alas asked the insurance company to please not resend those contractors as I didn't trust them, flat ignoring the issue in the bathroom. Alas Outsurance had already given full credentials to the diagnoses of these contractors, despite me creating awareness of the alcohol fumes circulating in my home. They did send a new contractor who replaced the geyser pronto. I also showed them bathroom and 'David' confirmed he could hear water running and asked me if I was pouring a bath. I declined. They left and I still had no hot water. When I asked them whether they were going to address the issue with the leaking water, they confirmed that the insurance instructed them to replace a leaking geyser so they don't have authority to address the root cause. Backwards and forwards for 7 days, I still don't have hot water. When the same plumbers came back the next morning, David confirmed that I will never have hot water as the geyser will never be able to keep up heating water fast enough. Voila, was my claim a leaking geyser? NO, my claim was I DON'T HAVE HOT WATER. In their wisdom, they advised me to open up a second claim so leak detectors can come out to check my second claim! WHAAAT? My first claim was NO HOT WATER! The inebriated plumbers make an incomplete diagnoses, fail to identify the root cause and because it's just a single female, let's rip her off right? I was honestly told by the claims consultant, that because the leak of the pipe is 4 meters away from the geyser, their policy does not allow them to treat this under the same claim...WHAAAAT? My claim was NO HOT WATER!!! Just because the first contractors failed to identify the root cause, you put their incompetence on the female client and try to make her pay excess twice???? Wow...************** galore...maybe there is a reason why there are gender based insurance companies? Anyways, I left a 1 star rating at their complaints department, whereof a very nice gentleman started to tackle the project. Whilst I admire his professional attitude and his zest to save some of the reputation and trust, dear Charles, nobody seems to listen to you and I still don't have hot water. Your claims department is still rooted in incompetence and they have not authorized the newest contractor to come sort out the problem. I tried to call, but nobody is putting me through to you, I don't have your direct number and when I asked for the COO the consultant put the phone down on me....I hope your COO Mickey Maharaj gets to read this...as the apart from Charles, nobody in the long value chain seems to be competent enough to sort out a simple claim of a female client not having hot water.

Hello Cm S

You have our sincere apologies for the huge inconvenience and frustration! Your service experience has been most unfortunate and certainly not what we wish for any client to go through.

Updates were provided to you, and we are pleased to know the hot water has finally been restored.

Charles will provide you with further feedback on Monday and we endeavour finalising the claim for you as soon as possible.

Regards
OUTsurance
