3RD PARTY SETTLEMENT OUTRAGEOUS

Iam honestly DISGUSTED by the service I'm currently receiving with OUTSURANCE. I was involved in a car accident with their client, she was turning right at a robot controlled intersection, now the robot even has an arrow that indicates when to turn right. The robot was green for cars going straight and their client just decided to make a right turn without observation and making sure that it was safe to do so. In turn causing the accident.

The lady admitted liability even stated that she "didn't see my car" meaning she didn't observe before entering the robot controlled intersection.

Now their claim department want to offer me 60/40 apportionment in my favour. WHICH IS REDICULOUS because even the law states that the person turning right has a higher responsibility to make sure its safe to do so.

Its really unfair that I have to suffer when it wasn't even my fault. I admit there must be an apportionment but 60/40 is totally rediculous on top of that I have to now use public transport during a pandemic and risk my health.

THE WAY OUTSURANCE DEALS WITH 3RD PARTY CLAIMS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Even case law on apportionment states that a driver turning right is 80% liable for damages caused. It's really disgusting how they rip of people. I really used to have a lot of respect for outsurance.

The least they should have done is tried to settle the claim in an amicable way. It's really disappointing.

Hello Lerato

Thank you for your feedback, which is of course disappointing to see.

Our liability claims manager was in contact with your attorney, and since you are on record, we can sadly not discuss the matter with you, only with your attorney, who will keep you updated.

Regards
OUTsurance
