3rd Party Claim ***

I have had to make a 3rd party claim to Outsurance, as the other party rode into me. I sent them all the necessary documents, as well as 2 quotes to repair my vehicle at a Ford SA approved panel beaters in Pretoria North where I work & stay. They now want me to go for an assessment in Hercules, on the other side of the Magalies mountain. I have to take time off work and budget extra fuel for this trip. All which is all extensively inconvenient. I was not the guilty party, but am made to follow the pipe dance of the insurance company. I have also been informed that a hire / loan car is a paid benefit which is not provided on 3rd party claims. This is all very stressing and I would NEVER advise anyone to take Outsurance insurance.

This morning I took my car to Outsurance allocated assessors, HJ Bosh & Sens. Under duress, as this is far from my home. II am sure they MUST have an assessor in Pretoria North, as there are Outsurance panel beaters in Pta North. I spent an hour on the road! Their assessor says they will not advise replacing the damaged doors, as they can be repaired. I had a well looked after car, and Outsurance wants to have it fixed not to Ford SA standard. I did send then X2 quotes, one from the Ford SA panel beaters in Pta North, and I am not satisfied at all that they want to have the doors fixed, that where noted must be replaced. I insist in seeing exactly what Bosh & Seuns has assessed to be done on my car. And insist that it be repaired at a Ford SA approved panel beaters. Outsurance has not satisfied me at all. Further I have not heard anything concerning a hire car. I cannot be without a vehicle for the time my car goes in for the repairs. This whole situation has become a nightmare and want answers ASAP!
