25% increase on buildings insurance

I received a letter this morning stating that our buildings insurance has gone up from R1,967.96 to R2,439.69. I phoned around for other quotes and all came in at under R2000. I phoned to query why it was increased by this amount, we claimed for our garage door that got damaged in a storm. It is utterly ridiculous. The lady made no attempt to try and keep me as a customer. Simply told me to go with the other insurers and send my letter to FNB home loans. Very very disappointed in this service from a company who claims to offer the lowest insurance rates. Be warned all current and future Outsurance customers.
