2025 started with a 7 week power outage in my area. I submitted a claim for my fridge contents at Discovery. I've been with Discovery for more than 5 years. Having a broker for short-term insurance R3600 p/m and medical aid R8400 per month. I hardly claim. They were looking for proof that there was a power outage. I've sent them a video clip from the councilor. A R5000 claim was finalized on the 4th only. I was speechless.8 Days after I've sent them " proof" that there was a power outage, they said they didn't receive it. Eventually, the claim was settled on the 5th Feb... NOW, with OUT, my daughter was in an accident on the 1Feb. Claim was registered on Tuesday. Eva from.claim dep called me yesterday and said the claim was authorized for R58k. Cat was towed to the panel beater. Lyttelton Autobody just called me now confirming they will start soon with the repairs. Outsuranve is the best. U do the math
