15% yearly increase

Unfortunately there is no less than 1 star. How can you increase a premium by 15%? Inflation is not close to that. You tell me i am high risk also. Driving 10ks per day to and from work, dont see the high risk in that. No burglaries the past 12 years, 2 small car incidents total of R20000 over a 12 year period, last 12 months two home content claims, because of lovely South Africa cable gets ******, it surges my house with a voltage of 280vlts, no surge protector nor circuit breaker could help this, it burned my circuit breakers, and what about the government load shedding us, it is no good for appliances, yet i am a high risk profile. Lovely, because of covid ****, my employer didnt give me a yearly increase, yet i have to pay outsurance 15% more. O lest not forget, for 12 years straight my premium was succesfully collected every time, no no wait this customer is still high risk profile. Well done outurance, you just made my mind up to change over to Alexander forbes, with the same cover i now pay R346.87 less for the next twelve months, you now what that is a saving of R4162.44, not paying outsurance R3468 more because i am high risk profile. O and lets not forget, for the years i wasnt high risk profile you still increased my premiums, not remunerating me because i am low risk. I am done with you outsurance, you failed this customer. With that saving i know my kids wil have food on the table.

Good day Neville,

We fully understand your concern and frustration.

Elouise our review manager contacted you to address your concerns regarding the premium increase and she discussed your policy in detail. There are several factors that will have an influence on premium at rerate stage such as claims, inflationary adjustments, underwriting changes etc.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look into the matter, we do apologise for the disappointment.

Regards,
OUTsurance

Best regards,
