Outdoor Warehouse and Jetboil dissapointment
Bought a Jetboil early last year from Outdoor warehouse in Centurion. Tested it at home by boiling some water and packed it away. 4 Months later I took it on a camping trip. First thing I realised is that since I packed it away the igniter stopped working. No issue, just use a lighter. Then I realised that although it does work it only stays lit if the valve is full open and it going full tilt. The moment I adjust it smaller it dies.
Took it back to OW. They did not have a replacement unit there so they sent it to the agents. This was in September.
The agents gave feedback that it was in line for assessment. It stayed like that for three months. Phoned OW, went to visit the shop. Phoned again and again. Still it was in line for assessment. Now in March many months later OW closed my repair case. They did not get the unit back nor have they gotten a replacement unit back. They just closed the ticket even though it still says it is in line for assessment.
Went there again, said they would contact the supplier and get back to me. They did not. OW said Jetboils quality slipped during the last year but to be this apathetic is beyond me. And it is not a cheap item either. Buyer beware.
