Extremely poor service

I purchased a ZARTEK 900lm LED Extreme flashlight from Outdoor Warehouse. After just one time I used it, the light does not even penetrate 1.5m on any of the settings. I handed it in at OW on 19.11.2015 @ 10h48 and was told that it will be repaired and that I will be kept up to date with the progress via sms or phone. I specifically stated that I needed it back for the December holidays. Till date I have not heard a word from you. I've just phoned the shop and was told that they never sent it to ZARTEK for repairs and that they only remembered about it today, that ZARTEK is on their way to the shop as we speak and that it will now be send away. This is completely unacceptable. I told the shop that I specifically requested to have it back for December holidays and due to their lack of customer service, it has not even reached ZARTEK for repairs. I was sold a faulty item to start off and in my opinion the item should have been replaced immediately. I would have accepted the repairs if the shop in fact did what they promised but they could not even deliver on that promise. A Manager promised to call me back in 10 mins and 20 min later, still no call
