Oukitel RSA pathetic service and underhanded product support

I purchased a certified WP10 5g IP68 and69 rating MIL-std20-810G phone - refurbished. Note they state " All rugged phones and tablets sold on this website come with a 12 month warranty & local technical support."

The phone has a underwater camera on it specifically to be used as per the limitations of no more than 1m depth for longer than 15minutes ( its actually more if you read the full specification) . I was replacing my LG 6 phone that has taken similar photos for the past 6 years perfectly and I was wanting 5G connectivity so decided to up grade and get a rugged phone. I am fully aware in regards to ensuring seals are closed and o forts testing in front of numerous witnesses did not go below 50 cm and this was in shallow river with taking less than 15 seconds to take a few test photos. The phone proceeded to mist up and the screen flickered , on any electronic equipment if this happens one should shut down the device hence i did. It seemed as if water had just somehow into the phone which it should not have. As a diver in the past I have had similar things happen on camera equipment specifically designed for open water sea diving - it is normally a rarity. I was not in the sea but a river and nowhere near the water proof limitations so this was quite a shock. On my return home I took the phone to oukitel directed technical centre in Bryanston . After weeks of requesting feedback and a report as to why it had failed I eventually received a poor report where they additionally stated that there warranty does not cover water damage - yet it is a water proof phone with an underwater camera on it. They provided in the report photos showcasing the water damage but not what failed to allow it to get water damage and stating i had subjected the phone to below the IP69/68 threshold with no definitive or empirical documentation as to where water entered the phone. On the photos they sent exhibits as faulty outer o ring not failure from unclosed hatch seals. Hence with hatch seals in place, it is apparent that the phone was not refurbished effectively to cover its potential for use with the main seals failing. Bluntly the technician used is not equipped to do any of the waterproof seal test that are required and basically can only confirm the phone is damaged and in his opinion not viable to repair. So there goes R7000 odd rand . there was no show case that with the seals hatch seals in place after the internals were dried that no water could have been ingested into the phone . simply the main seal failed and at time of refurbishment they too a chance not ensuring it was water proof as sold. no photos or timing fthe test where shown or detailed in report. To confirm their case that it was user error, this is what is required but in my pinion not done as they had no intention of honouring the warranty what-so-ever ! They offered no replacement, no discount - zero and basically state it the users fault with no compensation for their failed product. I had to repeatedly phone Oukitel RSA , whats app and push for any form of feedback which is way past their SLS - i find the service - the marketed capabilities and the disingenuous not cover for a phone marketed as waterproof with underwater camera *****ulent and knowingly selling refurbished phones that they will not honour the warranty . towards the end they just sent me the international numbers for oukitel. This company is underhanded and does not adhere to the standards expected in customer service set by themselves specifically when selling used equipment . They certify it is as new but it is not properly tested or certified clearly and they probably just out to make extra revenue when phones are traded in without testing them fully. They gamble on your account hoping it will not be fully tested as per its design and with no intention to honour the marketing or warranty . I would not by any product from this company and they are damaging what should be a good brands name here in South Africa. Shocking and ***********, and knowingly after purchase attempt to write out warranty for the very thing it was designed to do - take underwater photos. I shall not support Oukitel in RSA.
